  About Us

Our Artistic Mandate

It is our goal to put forth quality theatrical productions at small to medium sized venues around Edmonton. These productions can and will range from comedy to drama and all shades of theatre in between. We are dedicated to ensuring the promotion of our cast and crew by utilizing Edmontonian staff whenever possible and by promoting these individuals within the theatrical community whenever possible. See our Friendly Promotion Agenda for more information on this topic. We almost exclusively use local Edmonton playwrights who write in a dynamic and creative style for scripts to be used in our productions. We tend to gravitate towards a younger crowd and mindset and do presentations with the energy and vigor with subject matter that concerns young people most. Many of our management staff are currently enrolled or recently graduated from university or college and are excited to take life by the horns and forge their own path in the world. This theatre company is the culmination of those desires.

Friendly Promotion Agenda

This agenda is our attempt at working with competitors and fellow theatre companies of a similar mindset in order to combine advertising efforts and mutual popularity. By print and word of mouth advertisement sharing we will enjoy an increase sphere of influence along with like minded individuals of different projects either pertaining to theatre or in another medium that is also accessible by our target audience of young people. Alternatively, any volunteer work or other charitable contributions that our theatre company is involved with will receive free advertising on all popular printed materials pertaining to our productions.

Our Social Agenda

It is our greatest of wishes to help others in need and contribute to causes we believe in. The ibleedink staff and management has an ongoing and active commitment to giving back to the community in the form of volunteer work and donations. It is for this reason that used costumes, props, and set pieces are donated to lower income high schools to help bolster their theatre programs with useable materials. We also frequently offer our services as entertainers at local fundraising events,  city funded initiatives, or at schools, daycares, festivals, and hospitals. If you are part of an organization dedicated to improving the community or helping those in need, please do not hesitate in contacting us for some good people who like to give back to the same community that supports us and our art.

The ibleed4u Program

This program is an educational experience for those individuals who are ambitious and dedicated to a life in theatre or media and wish to get some real life experience in areas other than acting within a safe environment with the support and supervision of our staff. We currently offer positions for playwrights, directors, costume designers, painting, audio/visual technicians, stage managers, and production managers. An individual in the ibleed4u program can expect to be a full member of the team and receive remuneration and legitimate credits in their field. For more information please visit the ibleed4u program page.

Venues

We are currently aiming our performances for small to medium sized venues, BYOVs, and any place where people can come and see us. At the moment we are based out of the Azimuth. We are honoured to have found a home in such a respected venue. It might be a small black box, but some of Edmonton's finest in theatre and inde-film have paid their homage to the stage and it continues to be a landmark of theatre close to Edmonton's city centre. We currently have no plans to produce our shows elsewhere.
